: تتناول هذه الدراسة العمل التطوعي وعنوانها: "واقع العمل التطوعي ومعوقاته وأساليب تنميته واتجاهات الطلاب نحوه بجامعة القصيم بالمملكة العربية السعودية" وهدفت إلى بيان مفهوم العمل التطوعي ووظائفه ونظرياته والتعرف على واقع العمل التطوعي ومعوقاته وأساليب تنميته واتجاهات الطلاب نحوه بجامعة القصيم بالمملكة العربية السعودية وتوضيح طبيعة العلاقة ذات الدلالة الإحصائية بين إجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة حول (واقع – اتجاه – معوقات – أساليب تنمية) العمل التطوعي لدى طلاب جامعة القصيم بالمملكة العربية السعودية باختلاف متغيرات الدراسة (الكلية – المستوى والسنة الدراسية – التقدير العام والمعدل – الدورات التدريبية في مجال العمل التطوعي) واستخدم الباحث المنهج الوصفي بمدخليه الوثائقي والمسحي وتكون مجتمع الدراسة من طلاب جامعة القصيم، وكان من أبرز نتائجها: 1- غالبا ما يقوم الطلاب بأعمال تطوعية وكان من أكثر مؤشرات واقع العمل التطوعي لديهم وجود دليل إرشادي وتكليف عضو هيئة التدريس لهم بممارسة العمل التطوعي وعمل الطالب لخطة للمشاركة بالأعمال التطوعية المختلفة. 2- اتجاه الطلاب نحو العمل التطوعي كان مرتفعا وكان من مؤشرات الاتجاه المرتفع نحو العمل التطوعي: رؤية الطالب للعمل التطوعي أنه يساهم في نمو المجتمع وتطوره وحل مشكلاته وشعورهم أن العمل التطوعي أمر ديني يشعر الفرد بالإحساس الديني والانتماء للوطن. 3- لاقت الأساليب المقترحة لتنمية العمل التطوعي لدى الطلاب قبولا مرتفعا ومن أهم الأساليب موافقة نشر مبادئ وقيم العمل التطوعي وتحفيز الطالب ماديا ومعنويا للمشاركة في الأعمال التطوعية وبث الطمأنينة وكسر حاجز الخوف والرهبة بالمشاركة في الأعمال التطوعية. 4- وجد أن معوقات ممارسة العمل التطوعي التي طرحها الباحث أنها متحققة بدرجة كبيرة وكان من أبرزها تعارض أوقات العمل مع وقت الدراسة وعدم وجود آليات وأنظمة للعمل التطوعي وعدم الاهتمام بالعمل التطوعي داخل الجامعة.
