يهدف هذا البحث إلى الوصول لتصور مقترح لتقويم أداء أعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعات، وذلك من خلال الإطلاع على تجارب تقويم الأداء لأعضاء هيئة التدريس في بعض الدول الأجنبية وما يمكن أن يسهم به في هذا المجال بالإضافة إلى الواجبات المنوط بها أعضاء هيئة التدريس، وقد اتبع الباحث مدخل التخطيط الاستراتيجي، حتى يمكن الوصول إلى أهم نتائج التحليل البيئي (SWOT) لأهم نقاط القوة والضعف والفرص والمخاطر التي تحملها المنظومة، تمهيداً لرسم ملامح التصور الاستراتيجي المقترح، وقد استخدم الباحث استبانة موجهة إلى أعضاء هيئات التدريس داخل الجامعات وذلك حتى يمكن الوصول إلى أهم نتائج تحليل البيئي (SWOT) واقتصرت عينة الدراسة على ٢٠٠ مستجيب، من أعضاء هيئات التدريس ومعاونيهم في الجامعات السعودية موزعين على عدة جامعات. وقد استخدم الباحث عددا من الأساليب الإحصائية مثل التكرارات والنسب المئوية، وحساب دلالة الفروق بين المتوسطات عن طريق كا٢ وذلك لمعرفة هل هناك فروق ذات دلالة إحصائية بين النوع، والوظيفة، وبين الاستجابات المختلفة على الاستبانة. وقد اختتم الباحث بحثه بتصور مقترح يرنو للوصول إلى أفضل الطرق لتقويم أداء أعضاء هيئة التدريس في ضوء الواجبات المنوطة بهم، وكذلك التوجهات العالمية في مجال تقويم أداء أعضاء هيئات التدريس بالجامعات
The aim of this research is to figure out a proposal to evaluate the performance of the faculty members in universities, through learning about the experiences of performance evaluation for faculty members in some foreign countries and, can contribute in this area in addition to the duties entrusted to faculty members. The researcher followed the entrance of strategic planning, so that it deeds to the most important results of environmental analysis (SWOT) of the main strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks incurred by the system, in preparation for shaping the strategic vision of the proposal. The researcher used a questionnaire addressed to the faculty members in universities so as to access to the most important results of the environmental analysis (SWOT). The study sample was limited to 200 respondents who were from the faculty and their assistants in Saudi universities, distributed in several universities. The researcher used a number of statistical techniques such as frequencies, percentages, and calculate the sign of the differences between the averages by chi square in order to find out whether there are significant differences between the type, function, and between the different responses to questionnaire. The researcher concluded his research perception of the proposal aspires to gain access to the best ways to evaluate the performance of faculty members in the light of their duties, as well as global trends in the field of evaluating the performance of faculty members in universities
