يتناول البحث تحديد أسباب وميكانيكية تكون البقع البنية الداكنة المعروفة بـ(foxing) التي تصيب المخطوطات والمطبوعات الورقية القديمة، والوقوف على مدى تأثير هذه البقع على التركيب الكيميائي للورق والتغيرات الطارئة على التركيب الكيميائي في منطقة البقع ودور عنصر الحديد في تكون البقع وذلك من خلال القيام بعمل دراسة ميدانية لأماكن تواجد المخطوطات والمطبوعات الورقية القديمة المصابة بالبقع، وأخذ عينات من أماكن الإصابة كمثال تطبيقي لتلف المخطوطات والمطبوعات الورقية القديمة ودراسة أسباب وميكانيكية تكون هذه البقع وأخذ العينات من أوراق المخطوطات والمطبوعات الورقية القديمة والتي تتميز بنمو بقع foxing والموجودة في المكتبة المركزية للمخطوطات الإسلامية بالقاهرة، ومخازن دار الكتب المصرية بالقاهرة، ومكتبة المعشبة بكلية العلوم جامعة القاهرة، والقيام بفحص وتحليل هذه العينات باستخدام التحليل بالأشعة تحت الحمراء (FTIR ATR) لدراسة التغيرات الطارئة على التركيب الكيميائي للورق في منطقة البقع وكثير من طرق التحليل المختلفة.
This study identified the causes and mechanical spots of foxing, which affect the manuscripts and publications older paper and stand on the impact of these spots on the chemical composition of the paper, changes in chemical composition in the patches and the role of iron in the patches. Through the field study of the whereabouts of manuscripts and print paper-old infected spots of foxing and sampling of the places of injury as an e -ample of Applied damage to the manuscripts and printed paper the old spots of foxing and study the causes and mechanical are these spots and sampling from the leaves of manuscripts and publications older paper, which is characterized by the growth of patches of foxing, located in the Central Library of Islamic Manuscripts in Cairo and stores House Library of Egypt in Cairo and the Library of grassland, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, and to examine and analyze these samples using infrared anal -sis, FTIR (ATR) to study the changes in the chemical composition of the paper in the area of spots and many different methods of analysis- The research identify the causes and mechanical patches known as (foxing) affecting the manuscripts and publications older paper, and stand on the impact of these spots on the chemical composition of the paper, changes in chemical composition in the patches and the role of iron in the form -tion of spots and through the action a field study of the whereabouts of the manuscripts and printed paper the old infected spots, and to take samples from their places of injury as an example applied to the damaged man -scripts and publications older paper and study the causes and mechanical are these spots and sampling from the leaves of manuscripts and public -tions older paper, which is characterized by the growth of patches of fo-ing and in the central Library of Islamic Manuscripts in Cairo, and stores in Cairo, the Egyptian National Library, a library Herbarium, Faculty of Science, Cairo University, and to examine and analyze these samples using infrared analysis, FTIR (ATR) to study the changes in the chemical comp-sition of the paper in the spots and many different methods of analysis
