أصبح موضوع المرأة من الموضوعات المثيرة للجدل في العصر الراهن، بل أصبح من أدبيات العولمة مثل الديمقراطية وحقوق الإنسان والحكم الرشيد. ولكن موضوع المرأة كان أيضاً ولم يزل أحد الموضوعات التي من خلالها ينتقد الغرب العلماني الإسلام من خلال نقده لوضع المرأة في الإسلام باستخدام عدة مداخل مثل تعدد الزوجات في الإسلام والخفاض وضرب الزوجة وغيرها باعتبار كل ذلك اضطهادا للمرأة وانتهاكا لحقوقها. يهدف الغرب من كل ذلك إلى إيهام المرأة المسلمة بأنها مضطهدة وأن الحضارة الغربية فيها تحقيق لإنسانيتها وتحريرها من القيود التي يفرضها عليها مجتمعها. يحاول هذا البحث دحض مزاعم الغرب من ناحية، ويثبت أن المرأة مضطهدة في الغرب بينما كرمها الإسلام. ينبه البحث إلى أن الغرب يسعي إلى تشويه متعمد لوضع المرأة في الإسلام بإساءة تفسير الآيات والأحاديث الشريفة – وهو أحد مناهج الاستشراق – وكذلك يتعرض لتشريعات الأمم المتحدة ومؤتمراتها مثل مؤتمر بكين (1995) واتفاقية سيداو ومفهوم الجندرة وسوء فهم المساواة بين المرأة والرجل دون النظر لطبيعة كل منهما ودون اعتبار للاختلافات البيولوجية. ويشير البحث للتحديات التي تواجه الأسرة المسلمة في عصر العولمة إذ أصبحت المرأة مستهدفة لأنها تمثل مركز الأسرة المسلمة ومن ثم في تشكل عصب المجتمع المسلم. وينبه البحث إلى المخاطر التي تواجه المرأة المسلمة والأسرة المسلمة في المجتمع المعاصر ليس من الخارج بل من بعض التيارات في الداخل.
The status of woman has become one of the most controversial issues nowadays. It has become part and parcel of the literature that characterizes the trend of globalism - which includes such issues as democracy, rational governance and human rights. The issue was, and is still, one of the questions through which the secular West criticizes Islam by misinterpreting several concepts and practices in Islam and Muslim societies such as polygamy, half testimony of woman, half the male’s share in inheritance, lashing of wife and circumcision They (the western writers) highlight these practices as some sort of persecution and violation of her rights By raising such doubts (shubuhat) and issues against Islam the West aims at deluding the Muslim women that the Western culture guarantees her rights and freedom. This article attempts to refute these Western allegations, and tries to prove how woman is humiliated, degraded and dehumanized in the West. The article draws attention to the fact that the West always tries to deliberately distort the position of woman in Islam by misinterpreting Quran and Hadith which is a methodology of Orientalism. It also reviews the UN legislations and conferences on women such as the Beijing Conference (1995), CEDAW, Gender concept, misunderstanding of equality between man and woman regardless to the natural and biological differences between the two sides. The article concludes by outlining the challenges facing the Muslim family in contemporary world where under globalization Muslim woman has become a major target for the West since she represents the centre of Muslim society. The paper urges the Muslim societies to be aware of the menace facing the Muslim women not only from outside but also from the domestic secular elements.
