اهتمت الدراسات اللغوية بما ورد في الحديث النبوي الشريف، من ألفاظ تحتاج إلى شرح وبيان؛ وهو ما عرف في المصطلح اللغوي بغريب الحديث، وقد توجه هذا البحث إلى تقديم صورة وافية، عن الجهود اللغوية في مجال غريب الحديث، فبدأ ببيان معني الغريب وآراء العلماء في ذلك، ثم بين أسباب وجوده في الحديث النبوي، وأسباب التأليف فيه، وقد راجع الباحث كل ما ألف في مجال غريب الحديث، وعرض جدولاً وافياً بأسماء كل من ألف في غريب الحديث، سواء من وصلت إلينا كتبهم فهي مطبوعة منشورة، أو هي مخطوطة تنتظر التحقيق، أو من لم تصل كتبهم إلينا. وقد حقق البحث مسألة أول من صنف في غريب الحديث، وفي النهاية عرف البحث بعشرة من المصادر، هي أشهر ما وصل إلينا من الكتب في مجال غريب الحديث.
The linguistic studies have been concerned with the Shareef Prophetic Hadeeth pertaining to the foreign expressions that need an explication and lucidity. This has formed the term of the exotic Hadeeth. This research aims at introducing am overall picture related to the linguistic works that have been written with regard to the field of the foreign expressions. The researcher intends to delineate the meaning of the unusual expressions and the views of the scholarly linguists in this respect, and the reasons of the appearance of these foreign expressions in the prophetic Hadeeth. The researcher quested for whatever was written in the field of the exotic expressions in Hadeeth; and he, also, presented a complete table of the authors who wrote in this field, whether their books are known to us; they have been published, As for the books that are not known to us, need a verification. The research concludes with unprecedented finding in the field of the foreign expressions. At the end, the researcher introduces ten famous references that are closely related to this field- the foreign elements or expressions.
