أبحث في هذه الدراسة العلاقة بين اللغة والمجتمع، اللغة باعتبارها وسيلة لتحقيق التواصل البشري الذي سعى الإنسان إليه. والمجتمع الذي ولدت فيه تلك اللغة ونشأت في أحضانه. ولما كانت اللغة من نتاج الاحتكاك الاجتماعي، فإنها تتجاوز وظيفة التفكير، لأداء وظائف اجتماعية تسهم في توطيد العلاقات في أفراد المجتمع المعين، وذلك أنها نقرض نفسها على جميع الأفراد في ذاك المجتمع. لذلك فإن هذه الدراسة وضعت باعتبارها هذه العلاقة الأزلية بين لغة المجتمع، فراحت تكشف عن طبيعة هذه العلاقة، وتبرز وشائجها المترابطة. إذ إن السلوك اللغوي شريك السلوك الاجتماعي، فهما في حالة حراك وتفاعل دائمين، ولا يكاد ينفك أحدهما عن الآخر في ظل هذه العلاقة. إن هذه العلاقة ذات الوشائج المتلاحمة قديمة، أدرك كنهها القدماء على نحو ما أدركها المحدثون، فراح بعضهم يشير إلى هذه العلاقة إشارة عابرة، في الوقت الذي فصل فيها الآخرين، وكان لا بد لنا من وقفة نلتمس بعض وجهات النظر في هذه العلاقة. ثم بحثت الدراسة أهمية كتاب " مجتمع الأمثال " موضوع هذه الدراسة، وحاولت بعد ذلك استجلاء المشهد اللغوي الاجتماعي في ظل العلاقة القائمة بين اللغة والمجتمع في هذا الكتاب الذي يجمع بين آلاف الأمثال التي تصور الحياة العربية بتحققاتها المتنوعة.
Within this specific study, I've searched the ultimate relation between Language and Society. Language is the important device to reach the continuous social communications, which the mankind worked very hard to obtain its value. This study also contains social history where language been born and furnished. Due to the fact that it is the result of social contacts, language has exceeded the mere intention while performing social duties concerning the strengthen of relations, because language has imposed itself perfectly in every aspect of life. Therefore, this study put in its consideration the unlimited relation between Language and Society depending on the fact that the lingual behavior is the solid partner of social one, both are still deal with a non stop motion and activity, and no separation maybe happen between the two. This relation had an old solid connection which known in the past as well as present time. We should refer to the various points of view concerning this relation between language and society. Meanwhile, I seek the importance of the book "proverbs' collection" which represents the essence point of my study. I tried to reveal the essential aim of the lingual scene in the society passed on that relation which stands between Language and Society shown in that book which contains thousands of proverbs that give a great idea about Arab daily life. At the conclusion of my study, I've numerated the very important results. The more important among those results was the great relation between language and society. Language was and stills the smooth way for people to express their feelings, their ideas about universe and all of the other life aspects.
