هدفت الدراسة الحالية إلى الكشف عن صورة الأمريكي لدي العقل العراقي بعد عام 2003. حيث تناولت معرفة الصورة التي تكونت لدى الجمهور العراقي عن الأمريكي بعد 2003. كذلك كشفت الجوانب الإيجابية والسلبية لأمريكي. ولا سيّما أنه أصبح على احتكاك مباشر مع الجمهور من خلال وجودهم في الشارع العراقي وانتشارهم في مناطق العراق كافة. واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي المسحي. وتكونت عينة الدراسة من أعضاء المجتمع العراقي من الريف والحضر والنساء والرجال. وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في استبانة لتتقصي عن صورة الأمريكي في العقل بعد احتلاله العراق سنة 2003 وتوصلت النتائج إلى أن من الصور المتكونة لدى العراقي حول القيادة الأمريكية هي الصورة القيادية المهيمنة على العالم. وكانت صورة أمريكا قبل الاحتلال لدى الذهن العراقي أنها دولة كبرى متقدمة. واختلفت بعد الاحتلال فأصبحت دولة استغلال الشعوب. واتضح أن صورة الأمريكي لدى العرب والمسلمين لن تتغير في المستقبل لأن سياسة أمريكا ثابته نسبياً. وظهر ان بعض العراقيين لا يوافقون على طريقة الولايات المتحدة لنشر الديمقراطية. كما تبين ان الصورة لدي العراقي عن الأمريكي لا تختلف عن صورة الأوروبي في ذهنه. بالإضافة إلى انه تبين ضعف ثقافة الجمهور العراقي حول مفهوم الاستطلاع بسبب قلة نشر استطلاعات للراي العام في وسائل الإعلام وان هناك حاجة إلي نشر ثقافة وفهم أعمق عن الاستطلاع وأهميته لدي المجتمعات المتحضرة. كما ظهر ان الوضع الأمني المتردي في العراق هو أكبر معوقات تطبيق منهجية صارمة لاستطلاع الراي العام والعمليات العسكرية للقوات متعددة الجنسية والجيش العراقي في بعض المناطق تسبب مشكلة كبيرة للباحثين لتطبيق عينة علمية دقيقة ومن ثم فإنها تنعكس على النتائج وتعطي صورة مشوهة. والحذر والخوف من اهم العوامل التي تجعل المستجيبين يقومون بالرفض وعدم الاستجابة وبعض الأحيان إعطاء إجابات غير صادقة أو متحيزة مخافة جهات معينة على إجابات غير متوافقة مع هذه الجهات. كما أثرت الفضائيات بشكل مباشر في مصادر المعلومات عن صورة الأخر الأمريكي في الذهن العراقي.كُتب هذا المستخلص من قِبل دار المنظومة 2018
The current study aimed to reveal the image of the American in the Iraqi mind after 2003. It dealt with knowledge of the image that formed in the Iraqi public of the American after 2003. It also revealed the positive and negative aspects of the American. Especially that it has become in direct contact with the public through their presence in the Iraqi street and spread in all areas of Iraq. The study used the descriptive survey method. The study sample consisted of members of Iraqi society from rural and urban areas, women and men. The tool of the study is the questionnaire to investigate the image of the American in mind after the occupation of Iraq in 2003. The results found that from the images of the Iraqi leadership on the American leadership is the dominant image of the world. The image of America before the occupation in the mind of Iraq was a major advanced country and differed after the occupation to become the country of exploitation of peoples. It turned out that the American image in Arab and Muslim minds will not change in the future, because America's policy is relatively stable. It appeared that some Iraqis did not approve of the US way of spreading democracy. It also turned out that the picture that Iraqi has in his mind about the American is no different from the image of the European. In addition, the weakness of the Iraqi public's culture on the concept of the survey has been shown by the lack of public opinion polls broadcast in the media, and that there is a need to disseminate a culture and a deeper understanding of the survey and its importance to civilized societies. It also appeared that the deteriorating security situation in Iraq is the biggest obstacle to the application of a rigorous methodology for public opinion. Moreover, the military operations of the multinational forces and the Iraqi army in some areas cause a great problem for researchers to apply a scientific accurate sample and then reflected on the results and give a distorted image. Caution and fear of the most important factors that make respondents refuse and non-response and sometimes give the answers that are not honest or biased, fearing from certain parties to answer in a way is not compatible with these bodies.
