المستخلص: يتحدث هذا البحث في تحرير مصطلح (العقيدة) بمعنى إيمـان القلـوب، وبيـان معناه في اللغة العربية والاصطلاح العام والخاص (الشرعي)، مع بيان مرادفاته، وتـاريخ ظهوره واستخدامه ثم شيوعه وانتشاره عند جميع الأمة، واستخدامهم له دون نكيـر، ممـا يعد إجماعا عمليا على صحته وسلامته اللغوية والشرعية، وإن لم يـرد فـي النـصوص الشريعة بلفظه ومعناه، إذ ليس ذلك شرطا في صحته، ولا مشاحة في الاصـطلاح مـادام جاريا وفق أعراف اللغة وقواعد الشريعة، وبهذا يعلم بطلان القول ببدعيته، بدعوى عـدم وروده في نصوص الشرع، وخلص البحث إلى أن استخدام لفظ (العقيدة) بمعنـى إيمـان القلوب استخدام صحيح ومشروع، وأن القول ببدعيته مجازفة وتهور.
