مفهوم الأزمة من المفاهيم الواسعة الانتشار في المجتمع المعاصر، حيث أصبح يمس بشكل أو بآخر كل جوانب الحياة بدءاً من الأزمات التي تواجه الفرد مروراً بالأزمات التي تمر بها الجماعات والحكومات والمؤسسات وانتهاء بالأزمات الدولية. بل إن مصطلح الأزمة أصبح من المصطلحات المتداولة على جميع الأصعدة وفي مختلف المستويات الاجتماعية، وعالم الأزمات عالم حي ومتفاعل، عالم له أطواره، وله خصائصه، وأسبابه، تتأثر به الدولة أو الحكومة فيتأثر به أصغر كائن موجود في المجتمع البشري. يهدف البحث إلى إبراز الإطار المفاهيمي للأزمة متجاوزا" وجهة النظر التقليدية التي تصفها كحدث يدمر أو يؤثر في المنظمة ككل، إلى وجهة النظر الإسلامية التي تتوجه بقوة نحو البعد الايجابي للأزمة باعتبارها منحة ربانية وفرصة للإصلاح وتنقية النفس. وقد أوصت الدراسة بضرورة التركيز على المنطلقات الإسلامية واستنباط الحلول من المنظور الإسلامي في إدارة الأزمات، بما يمكننا الاستفادة مما هو موجود بالفكر الغربي بعد تأصيله بالفكر الإداري الإسلامي الذي جاءت به شريعتنا الإسلامية في ضوء الكتاب والسنة النبوية المطهرة.
