تتمتع رواية "كأنها نائمة" بقدر عال من الممكنات التي نتجت من المنامات والتناصات الدينية والشعرية واللغة التي كتبها بها مبدعها، وهذه المكونات عناصر تفتحها على التأويل. "كأنها نائمة" رواية أروقة النوم والحلم والموت تستعين على ذلك بالاستعارات، والمنامات، والشعر، والقصص الدينية التي تجللها الأسطورة والكرامات. شخصيتها الرئيسية ميليا، تعيش حياتها مناما متصلا في الصحو والنوم، تعيش كأنها نائمة، وتنام لتستحضر حيوات عائلتها، شخصية رائية طورت رؤيتها الخاصة بعيدا عن هرطقات مجتمعها. تتشكل المنامات من بنية خاصة وفق منطق خاص للأزمنة والأمكنة، وأدوار الشخوص، وقد تحمل في ثناياها رؤيا تتقاطع فيها مع الدين، الذي يعترف بالرؤيا ويدخلها ضمن منظومته، والرؤيا يتصف بها الشعر كذلك. المنامات والدين والشعر جميعها تشترك في الرؤيا. مما يجعلها قابلة للتأويل. والتأويل هو تحويل المجرد إلى المحسوس، إنه منح البعد الدلالي وجهاً تصويرياً مشخصاً قابلاً للإدراك والمعاينة.
The Novel “As if she is asleep” contains a large number of possibilities derived from the dreams, the religious and poetic intertextuality of the text, and the language used by the creative writer. All these factors gather to make the novel open to different interpretations. “As if she is asleep” refers to sleep, dream and death by using similes، poetry، religious stories that are filled with legends and “karamat”. The main character is Melia who lives in continuous dreams whether asleep or awake. She lives as if she is asleep and sleeps to recall the lives of her family. She has developed a character with personal perspective that is far from the heresy of her society. The dreams are built up with special structure and according to certain logic for time, place and roles of characters. These dreams may carry certain visions that contradict with religion which admits of the existence of dreams and list them within its system. Visions are also a characteristic of poetry. Dreams, religion and poetry share the existence of vision and that what makes them all open to interpretations. Vision is turning the abstract into concrete. In other words, visions give the semantic perspective an aspect that can be pictured, diagnosed, realized and examined.\
