كان الاهتمام بدراسة الألفاظ من اجل فهم المعنى قد بدأ مبكرا عند العرب - منذ ان بدا البحث في مشكل الآيات القرآنية وإعجازها وتفسير غريبها - وقد ادرك العرب اهمية قضايا اللفظ والمعنى وقيمتها الدلالية في خدمة القرآن الكريم ، فعكفوا على دراسة هذه القضايا بالجد والبحث المتواصل، وهذا يبين لنا مدى اهمية هذه الدراسة والعناية التي حظيت بها في قضايا اللفظ والمعنى ، فكان حريا بكل باحث لغوي ان يعكف على هذه القضايا بالدراسة والتمحيص في محاولة لتعميق فهم القرآن من خلال تدبر الآيات واستشعار خشوعها في القلب لذا كان موضوع بحثي ( ألفاظ الخشوع في القرآن الكريم دراسة نحوية - دلالية ) كي نصل إلى خشوع المؤمنين في الدنيا وخشوع الكافرين في الاخرة وغيرهما فلابد من دراسة هذه الألفاظ ومشتقاتها من خلال سياقاتها المتعددة والمتنوعة فالمؤمن يخشع طمعا لما عند الله تعالى من نعيم مقيم ، وخوفا من عقابه او انه عبد الله تعالى وخشع له لأنه وجده اهلا للعبادة . وأما الكافر فهو يخشع في الأخرة جبرا وبرغم انفه لما كان يعمل في الدنيا من تكذيب كذلك الأصوات والقلوب والإبصار والجبال والأرض اثبت البحث أن الأساليب النحوية تعد قاعدة الانطلاف للكشف عن خفايا النص ، كما أثبت البحث أن للسياق أثرا كبيرا في التحليل الدلالي واهميته تكمن في فيمة المعنى ، واثبت أيضا إن المتأمل في آيات الفاظ الخشوع يلاحظ ان اختلاف الدلالة كان تبعا لاختلاف حركة الحرف من اللفظ او تغيره وبهذه المخالفة يمكن أن تحقق الألفاظ صيغا ودلالات جديدة تنم عن طواعية العربية وقدرتها الداخلية على النماء .
