المستخلص: The study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of a model of blended learning about developing the environmental awareness and decision-making capacities about some environmental problems for female students in educational diploma in different subjects (science, computer and English). The sample for the pilot study included 50 female students selected randomly from students enrolled in educational diploma course (science, computer and English). While the sample for the main study included 150 female students at the faculty of education in King Khalid University in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Data were collected using two instruments included: environmental awareness test and decision-making capacities scale. The findings of this study suggested the effectiveness of the blended learning model for teaching the environmental problems and developing the environmental awareness and decision-making capacities for the female students at the faculty of education about these environmental problems. In the light of the study’s findings, it would be strongly recommended to integrate some of the environmental problems investigated in this study in the teacher training program at the faculty of education. In addition, it would be necessary to arrange a series of workshops about environmental education for in-service teachers as part of their teacher professional development. Lastly, it is strongly recommended that universities and research institutions and associations should consider comprehensive research plans for the environmental problems in the society and have strategic plans to sort them out.
