In this thesis, we have tackled the aspects of the Qur'an Adress, which are existed in Al-Bahr Al-Muheet Interpretation – published by Abu Hayyan Al-Andalussi . the purpose behind choosing this subject is the decreased tackling of it, though it is very important. Throughout this research, it has been very obvious that Abu Hayyan mentioned many aspects of the Qur'an Adress in his Interpretation. We have tried hard to distinguish these aspects by classifying them into sections, chapters and researches, because of their interface with each other. Accordingly, our view to speech has been from two various points. The first one was as general and not detailed view, and it was put in a specific section called "Address In General", which was divided into two chapters. The first one was the general address which involved two researches. In the first one, we have tackled the general address which means Al-Umoum – generalization, whereas the second one was the general address which means Al-Khussous – specification. We have found that most of aspects of this type was appeared in the Maccean Suras, and we think the purpose behind that is to verify the principles of belief and the right religion. According to the second chapter, it involved the specific address, which was also divided into two researches. In the first one, we have tackled the specific address which means Al-Khussous – specification; whereas in the second one we have tackled the specific address which means Al-Umoum – generalization. It has been appeared that most of of aspects of this type was appeared in the Madeena Suras, and we think the purpose behind that is to show the rules and legislations, and to display guidance and instructions to Muslim nation throughout addressing its Prophet (peace be upon him), i.e. the address to Prophet (peace be upon him) is the address to his nation. What led us to make such division is that any address tackled is either general or specific. According to the second section, we have called it "Address in Detail". We gave a detailed view in four chapters. This first one was confined on the address of prophets (peace be upon them), which involved two researches. In the first one, we have tackled the address of prophets in general; whereas the second one was about the address of the Prophet Mohammad (Peace be upon him) in particular. We have found that all prophets were addressing their nations in one address in which they invited their nations to loneliness of Allah and confined the worship to him only, in addition to give up polytheism and idols, and invite to apply justice and kind acts. Moreover, they didn't leave any way (mode) of influence on the addressed person. The address of our Prophet (Peace be upon him) was recognized with the honor and generosity of Allah to him in addressing, unlike to all other prophets whom were addressed with their names. And Allah has stated his satisfaction towards him and his nation, as well as he didn't torture them as did with the past nations, but he gift him a signal of opening Mecca and getting victory. According to the second chapter of this section, it was about the address of believers, which was divided into three researches. In the first one, we tackled the addresses of praise and honoring. In the second one, we tackled the addresses of instruction and guidance. Whilst, in the third it was tackled the imperative and prohibition addresses. The addresses of believers established many legislative rules and general conducts. They are confined mostly on instruction and guidance. According to the third chapter, it was tackled the addresses of unbelievers and hypocrite, and we divided it into two researches. In the first one, we tackled the address of unbelievers and polytheists whom the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) faced them in Mecca and in the Arab Tribes. In the second one, we tackled the address of Ahl Al-Kitab – Jews and Christians – and hypocrites whom the messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) faced them in Al-Madina after establishing the State of Islam. Their addresses weren't direct, instead Allah addressed they as absent persons in almost situations to express his dissatisfaction to them. Their addresses are mostly characterized with the aspects of threat, torture, dispraise and humiliation. In the forth and last chapter, we have tackled the address of convolution and the address stated to inanimate and animals. It was divided into three researches. In the first one, we tackled the convolution in pronouns. In the second one, we tackled the convolution in the Qur'an reads. And the third research was specific with addressing the inanimate using the addresses of animate. We didn't make the later research as a separated chapter because of its few texts relatively. Throughout this chapter, we found that Abu Hayyan suggested that the benefit of convolution is to appear the attribute of speech, and the ability of stating it freely and not literally. That's because it is a Qur'an fixed and stable style and an aspect of address' ones in Qur'an, and that was obvious in the reads of Qru'an stated by Abu Hayyan. According to addressing animals and inanimate things using the ones of the animate beings, like humans, it was appeared that Abu Hayyan tended to the side of whom suggested that this address was one of the metaphoric aspects, couldn't been interpreted on the true sense, and the aim behind that was to show the great power of Allah. This is the abstract of our thesis, and the result we have reached is the Qur'an address come in various rhetoric styles involving various addressing aspects, in order to verifying the principles of the right belief and to show the instructions of the correct religion. |
