تختلف الثقافات في أسسها الفلسفية والعقدية والفكرية، وفي نظرتها للإنسان والكون والحياة، ويتجلى أثر هذا الاختلاف في المناهج التي ترتضيها في تصريف شؤون حياتها السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، وفي علاقتها بغيرها من الأمم والشعوب . فمن ثقافة تقرر كرامة الإنسان أياً كان، وتؤمن بحقه أن يعيش حراً موفور الكرامة، وتدعو إلى التعايش السلمي والتفاعل الإيجابي بين الشعوب والحضارات، إلى ثقافة لا تؤمن إلا بالقوة والمادة، وتسعى إلى العلو في الأرض والهيمنة على غيرها، وترى أن من حقها أن تعيش في رغد من العيش ولو أضر ذلك بغيرها أو كان على حساب حريته وكرامته. هذا التباين والاختلاف بين الثقافات من شأنه أن يغرس مشاعر متفاوتة بين أتباع الثقافات تجاه بعضهم بحسب ما تحويه كل ثقافة من قيم ومبادئ تتعلق بالتعامل مع الغير. ولكون الكراهية قيمة سلبية فإن كل أمة وفئة تدفعها عن نفسها وترمي غيرها بها، وأنها المنهج المعتمد في تعاملها مع غيرها. والمنطق السليم يقضي بتحرير هذا المفهوم وتحققاته في أي ثقافة لتبين مدى انطوائها عليه من عدمه، ونسبة ما تحمله منها. وهذا البحث يسعى لتجلية مفهوم ثقافة الكراهية، والشروط التي لابد منها لوصف ثقافة معينة بثقافة الكراهية، ثم النظر بشيء من الإيجاز في مكونات الثقافتين الإسلامية والغربية وما تحمله كل منهما من مضامين تقربها من ثقافة الكراهية أو تنأى بها عنها.
Cultures differ in their philosophical, dogmatic, intellectual fundamentals and in their views of human beings, to the universe and to life in general, and the impact of this difference is reflected in the methodologies adoptedby cultures to conduct their political, social, economic affairs and in their relations with other nations and peoples. There are cultures that respect human dignity, believe in the human right to live free with dignity and call for peaceful coexistence, positive interaction between peoples and civilizations.And there arecultures that believe only in power,materialism,seek to spread its control on others and only believes in its right to live in wealth and privilege, evenifthatleadsto hurt others or come at the expense of others’ freedom and dignity. This contrast and the difference between cultures would instill mixed feelings among the followers of cultures towards eachother according to its contents of values and principles related to dealing with others. As hatred is a negative value, every nation and group denies hatred for itself and attribute it to others and accuse them of adopting such approaches whendealing with others. This research seeks to clarify the concept of the culture of hatred and the conditions which must exist in order to describe the culture to be a cultureof hatred, then it will consider in briefthe components of the Islamic and Western cultures, and what makes their contents near or far from a cultureof hatred.
