تشير نتائج الحرب على غزة وتداعياتها إلى أن فاعلية الدور المصري تجاه الملف الفلسطيني تتوقف على عدة عوامل؛ يأتي في مقدمتها تماسك التحالف الإقليمي المساند للتحركات المصرية. كما أن النتائج العامة للحرب ترسخ الحلول التفاوضية بين كل الأطراف، وبصورة تدفع باستمرار صعوبة استبعاد حماس من الترتيبات الفلسطينية، وهذا ما يرسخ نتيجة مهمة تتمثل في أن أن السياسة المصرية لم تتمكن من نقل معركتها مع الإخوان المسلمين إلى قطاع غزة أو القضية الفلسطينية.
The Egyptian politics considers Hamas a direct menace to its regime. This approach is based on the belief that the movement’s association with the Muslim Brotherhood represents a major challenge to stability. Cairo, thus, sees the dismantling of Hamas a next step to exclude any organization linked to the Muslim Brotherhood from centres of power and political authority. Therefore, the results of the war are significant to foresee the Egyptian politics’ development toward Hamas and the Palestinian issue in general, and within the reshaping process currently taking place in the Middle East political scene. The results and repercussions of the war on Gaza indicate that the Egyptian role towards the Palestinian issue depends on a number of factors. The first and most important is the consistency of the regional alliance supportive of Egyptian forts. A second is the war results’ consolidation of the negotiation solution between all parties, which constantly confirms the necessity to involve Hamas in any Palestinian development. In other words, Cairo’s politics has not managed to transfer its battle with the Muslim Brotherhood to the Gaza Strip or the Palestinian issue.
