The article addresses a stage of developments in Syria before World War II and their echo in the Arab press in Algeria despite the French policy perscution.An example of these newspapers in that period is; Al-Oumma; Cheikh EBRAHIM Abou Yakdan’s longest lifetime and biggest in number newspaper. The themes of the article revolve in: First: introduction; that deals with the press importance in transferring people’s concerns and focusing on Yakdan’s press which embodies Cheikh Abu Yakdan’s sympathy with the Syrian issue. Second : the body; in which the Syrian Issues have been devided into: Foreign issues such as : At Taif Agreement’s effects on the Syrian-French relations .Then, the French politicians’ and Colonial movement theorists’ point of view on the way to applicate the French provisions inside the Syrian territories untill the alliance treaty between the two parties. That is like Evian negocitiations between Algeria and France. This is with a look to the Syrian-Turkish relations during the period and the Syrian Immigrants Community in Cairo reaction to the mentioned treaty. As for Domestic issues, the article deals with the political nature of Damascus Medical Congress, the sectarian unity with the Maronite (in Lebanon), Parliament renewal and Syrian Government after the alliance treaty with France which expresses a new life in Syria far from the Protection system. It also touches the after 1936 issues. The year known as the year of Revolutions and Arabs’ Uprisings. Finally , the article concludes group of deductions towards The Syrian Issue’s echo in Cheikh Abou Yakdan.Who manifests great interst in Eastern Arabic countries’ issues . And this is due to his convictions to that Muslims terretories protection is an obligation and his appeal to make an Arabic unity that could avoid peoples’ weakenesses.
