المستخلص: The purpose of this research study is to examine and comprehend how employment and organizational factors affect the job satisfaction levels of IT employees working in a Saudi hospital. This research study seeks to: • Determine the level of influence that gender differences has on IT employees’ job satisfaction. • Determine the level of influence that workload, job stress and working hours have on IT employees’ job satisfaction. • Determine the level of influence that job security has on IT employees’ job satisfaction. • Determine the level of influence that employment benefits such as compensation/pay has on IT employees’ job satisfaction. This research is generic and intends to attain specific objectives and does not target a single-organization issue. In order to achieve the previously mentioned research objectives, an appropriate research design and data collection methods will be specified. King Fahad Medical City’s hospitals in Saudi Arabia will be addressed as the setting to base this research, focusing precisely on IT departments where the research population will include all IT positions from IT directors and managers to helpdesk and support workers. Primary data was collected using distributed paper surveys. The outcomes of this conducted research study showed no significant relation between gender and job satisfaction. Conversely, the research study results presented association between job stress due to workload, security and financial compensation and job satisfaction. It also showed that there is very small almost nonexistent difference in the levels of job satisfaction when comparing Saudi employees to non-Saudi employees.
