We examine the available information about worship places located in the southern shore of the Circle of the Straits of Gibraltar visited by the Phoenicians during the 8th-6th centuries B. C., either buildings constructed by these oriental settlers or consecrated natural sites, as well as the divinities worshiped in them and the role they played in this colonial process. In spite of the scarcity of information, either literary sources or archaeological documented remains, we begin to have a general approach to its importance in these territories according to the attested facts in other areas of the Mediterranean Sea..
