The purpose of the current study is to reveal the personality traits for a sample of both normal and abnormal individuals (DS). In addition to find the difference between the two groups using the aspects of the features. To achieve this goal the researcher used random samples consisting of (96).children, (48) are Down syndrome (48) are normal from Khartoum, Aljazeera, White Nile states, for the year 2007/2008.For revealing the personality aspects, Rucalv scale was used (Rucalv, 1991) but the researcher used the scale used in the Jordanian environment (BaniYounis and Abu Jadi, 2007) which is approved in this study. This scale has a psychometrics appropriates in its original form, upgraded form and the current form which is convenient in this study. To analyze the information in the study, the percentages, the frequencies and mean standard deviations of the responses for the sample of the study were calculated. Also ANOVA and SHIVA comparisons, the analysis of gradual discriminatory, and correlation coefficients, were used to investigate the indications of statistics. The study results:. In the personal traits performance in the psychomotor mental and commotion, three levels appeared (low, medium, high) and it has distributed different percentage and varied on the all sample (normal and abnormal). There significant differences between all the samples (normal and abnormal) in the personal attribute and levels. There were significant differences between the members of the samples (normal and abnormal) at all levels. Presence of three features of personal attributes, manly: an activity in the performance of mental and emotional features in interactive performance, and flexibility in mental performance with a clear predictive capability with a subtotal as interpreted by the discrepancy between patients and decency (35%). The presence of three features of personal attributes, mainly: a frequency response in interactive performance, and feature the pace of response in the performance of mental, emotional performance, interpreted the combination (14%) of the difference between the three categories of disorders. هدفت هذه الدراسة للكشف عن سمات الشخصية لدى عينة من الأفراد المصابين وغير المصابين بمتلازمة داون، وإيجاد الفروق بينهم تبعًا للسمات، وتحديد القدرة التنبؤية لهذه السمات في الفئتين. ولتحقيق ذلك، تم اختيار عينة عشوائية، بلغت (96) فردًا، منهم (48) مصابًا بمتلازمة داون، و(48) غير مصابين بها من ولاية الخرطوم والجزيرة والنيل الأبيض للعام الدراسي 2007/ 2008. وللكشف عن سمات الشخصية، تم استخدام مقياس سمات الشخصية الذي أعده (Rucalov, 1991)، وعمل على تطويره للبيئة الأردنية (بني يونس وأبو جدي، 2007)، والمعتمد في هذه الدراسة، وهو يتمتع بخصائص سيكومترية مناسبة في صورته الأصلية، وقد قامت الباحثة بتكييفه على المصابين بمتلازمة داون. ولتحليل نتائج الدراسة، تم استخراج النسب المئوية، والتكرارات، والمتوسطات الحسابية، والانحرافات المعيارية، لاستجابات أفراد عينة الدراسة على فقرات أداة الدراسة، كما تم استخراج تحليل التباين الأحادي، واختبار شيفيه (SHIVA) للمقارنات البعدية، والتحليل التمييزي المتدرج، ومعامل الارتباط التشابكي، للتحقق من الدلالات الإحصائية. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى النتائج الآتية: إن سمات الشخصية في الأداء الحس حركي، والعقلي، والتواصلي، وبمستوياتها الثلاثة (المنخفض، والمتوسط، والمرتفع) توزعت بنسب مئوية مختلفة ومتباينة على أفراد العينة ككل (المعاقين وغير المعاقين). وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين أفراد العينة ككل (المعاقين وغير المعاقين) في كافة سمات الشخصية وبكل مستوياتها. وجود فروق دالة إحصائيًا بين أفراد عينة المعاقين في كافة سمات الشخصية وبكل مستوياتها. وجود ثلاث سمات من سمات الشخصية، وهي: سمة النشاط في الأداء العقلي، وسمة الانفعالية في الأداء التواصلي، وسمة المرونة في الأداء العقلي، لها قدرة تنبؤية واضحة، حيث بلغ مجموع ما فسرته مجتمعة معًا من التباين بين حالات المعاقين وغير المعاقين (35%). وجود ثلاث سمات من سمات الشخصية، هي : سمة وتيرة الاستجابة في الأداء التواصلي، وسمة وتيرة الاستجابة في الأداء العقلي، وسمة الانفعالية في الأداء العقلي، فسرت مجتمعة (14%) من التباين بين الفئتين. ختم البحث بالتوصيات والمقترحات والمراجع.
