المستخلص: This study indicates ecological survey of soils and natural plants growing it in three different station , which exposed to the pollutants in Kirkuk city . The first station located in Dubat quadrate rounding farm, second station is the lands which located on the side of Al-khassa river at Al-Shuhadaa bridge that exposed to the domestic and commercial pollutants , while the third station includes the lands a rounding the North Oiled Company (NOC) . Determination of a group of physical and chemical factors beside a number of heavy metals ( Cd , Pb , Zn , Fe , Ni , and Co ) in soil and some of them ( Cd , Pb , Zn , Fe ) in plants . Also the impact of these heavy metals on some nutrients and protein contents in plants were studied . The estimation of bioconcentration factor BCF for metals conducted to the common plant between all station as well as control site. Also determinate the pollution Index PI & pollution degree, and identification of most of plants that founded in the studied sites.

The frequency for sample collection was conducted by monthly interval periods , from may 2010 till April 2011 .The results have revealed that the soil texture was mostly sandy loam in all station as well as in control site , except the first station , their soil texture have been changed from month to another due to that turning over which occur to the soil . The EC average ranged between 0.10 and 1.97 mmhos.cm-1 in regard to the all station and months. Revealed that the EC value of the third station was higher than that of another station . The lower average of pH was in second station (7.72) and the higher one in control soil (8.1) . High ratio of S.O.M , TSOC and bulk density BD observed in third station , 1.54 % , 0.72 % , and 3.09 gmcm-3 respectively . It is showed that the total nitrogen contents ranged between 0.5 and 0.24 % . The higher average of the CN ratio was for second station 8.11 % which lower than that of control site 8.69 % . It was observed that there are no significant difference in NO-3 concentration in all station soil, this confirm that these station still in normal ranged. High rate of SO=4 was 21 % recorded in third station and low rate was 0.06 % recorded in first station . The high values of PO4-3 , Cd . Pb , Fe , Ni , in soil belong to second station were 38.63 , 13.9 , 89.8 , 8197.6 and 16.47 ppm respectively . High level of Zn and Co were in first station soil 335.2 and 12.01 ppm respectively . High concentration of heavy metals (Cd , Pb , Zn , Fe and Ni ) in soils and plants in studied station in comparison with control site . The rate of Pb concentration ranged between 2 ppm for Adinos dentata Del. belongs to Rununculaceae family and 357.2 ppm for Tribulus terrastris belongs to Zygophllaceae family . While the rate of Pb concentration in plant leaves of second station ranged between 19.1 ppm for Rumix obtusifolius L . and 290.3 ppm for Lolium rigidum . While in regard to the third station the rate of pb concentration ranged between 3.5 and 369.1 ppm for Polypogon monspeliensis plant belongs to Graminaceae family and Convolvulus stachydifolius plant blongs to Convolvulaceae respectively .

The rate of pb concentration of control site ranged from 4.5 to 307.2 ppm for P . monspeliensis plant and Ammi majus L. plant belong to Umbellifereae family respectively . Observed a high correlation (r = 0.838 ) between soil pb concentration and leave Pb concentration for plants growth in these soil . The heavy metals concentration of soil and plants in the studied sites were higher than the international permissible boundaries except Ni and Co were located in normal range . The higher value of Zn 174.14 ppm was for Malva parviflora plant and low value of 94.99 ppm was for P. monspeliensis . That is mean obtained the high values of Zn in plant leaves that growing in soils with high content of Zn , meaning, there are weak positive correlation between soil Zn concentration an their concentration in plants growing in these soils . The grand range of T. Fe of common plants among all station was 868.18 ppm which higher than normal range . The soil concentration of Cd , Pb , Ni , and Co don’t affect negatively on both of the T.N % and protein % levels in spite of high concentrations of them . In general, whole studied areas were in warning limit .High plants biodiversity occurs in first station , the descending arrangement of studied areas for plants biodiversity were as following : first station , control site , third station and finally second station .
