المستخلص: This thesis aims to study and analyze one of the most important books in Arabic grammar which is called "Sharh Shithur Althahab" wriffen by" Shams Aldin Muhammad Bin Abdulminim Aljawgari" (died in 889 .H). Aljawgari was one of the most famous scholars in the ninth century (H). He was known for his plenty in linguistic and grammatical knowledge which he implied in his book. No exaggeration if we describe him as a cultural encyclopedia which was a mark for the literati and scholars of the Arabian culture with in its glorious and flourish age where we can see the grammarians as poets, authors, philosophers, historians, architect and religion legislator. These signs are found in Aljawgari's accomplishments and classifications. One of his distinguished written was his explanation for (Shithur Althahab) composed by "Ibn Hisham Alansari", which is considered the first printed and revised explanation. Aljawgari was talent in his explanation in a simplified and detailed manner for the students of Arabic grammar. In intensive view for the book, we can see that he added so many Commentaries, notices and grammatical preponderances in so many controversial matters which show the personality of this great scholar. I choose to study this book to emerge the effort and contribution for this scholar which was ignored by the researchers except "Mr. Nawwaf Bin Jaza'a Alharithi", Who accomplished revision of the book in 2004. There is no other study about this scholar except this one. The nature of this research implied to be divided into four chapters preceded by abstract and introduction, then ended with conclusion. In this abstract I referred to "Aljawgari" and his book (Sharih Shithur Althahab), and I divided it into two researches: First: Acknowledgment about "Aljawgari". Second: it deals with Aljawgari's style in his explaining for "Shithur Althahab". The first chapter deals with Sources which are divided into two researches: First: Sources which are divided into two kinds: First: transmission through leaders scholars and transmission through books as he referred through his explanation. The second chapter included the sources of Arabic grammar according to Aljawgari, and t divided them into four divisions: Hearing of Holy Quira'n and its readings, the prophetic traditions, old real events, witticisms of Arabic proverbs and poetry, finally the measurement and its basis. The third one is the unanimity of the grammarians with what Aljawgari mentioned in so many matters, the fourth one is (lstishab Alhal).

The third chapter is devoted for the grammatical differences which are classified according to the differences in nouns, verbs and prepositions. In the fourth chapter I studied the Aljawgari's grammatical idioms and I divided it into two researches, the first included: the ldioms of Basrah school, the idioms of Kufa school and the joint idioms between the two schools, while the second research devoted for Aljawgari's grammatical preponderances. In writing this thesis I based on so many different related sources. In this thesis I came to the following conclusions: 1. Aljawgari was embraced to (hearing) which he considered the most important base in grammatical preponderancy. 2. Aljawgari had a wide knowledge in so many fields of Knowledge and science which he implied in his Controversial matters. 3. Aljawgari wasn't fanatic for a specific school or scholar but only support what he thought most suitable one. 4. Aljawgari's preponderances were characterized by Clarity, Comprehension, simplification, and away from ambiguous justification. 5. Aljawgari's explanations and commentaries which he added to the book intended to be simple and clear for the primitive students of grammar.
