The history of Najran pre-Islam and the era before the prophet and orthodox caliphs. One of the important issues which are worthy of study. Its political, social, and economic history has an ideological roots and has long stretches pre-Islam. Islam corrected some and deeprooted the others to produce an Islamic society based on the bases of the Almighty Allah, to convince the people to go out from the darkness toward the light . That is to say, to the Shura and from the narrow tribe to the concept of nation and then reform and construct the land . The Prophet Mohammed ( p.b.u.h ) had a prominent role and great historical positions towards the people of Najran whatever classes were moreover; that the role of orthodox Caliphs in clarifying the approach of the prophet in dealing with those assets , as well as the administration of the peoples issues in the Islamic regions in all fields Najran was one of more regions, it received a considerable attention in the beginning of Islam . As for the approach, the analytical approach is followed after studying the historical stories and references in sometimes the presentation of the material and other times it compared with some similar situation in other regions of the Arabian Peninsula. This study has been divided into introduction and four chapters, and a conclusion which includes the most important findings. Chapter one is entitled the political situation . This chapter focused on the short study of the ruling system in Najran and how It's managed pre-Islam, and the position of the people of Najran towards the Prophet's noble mission and its consequences in the age of Mecca; than it dealt with their position in the Civil age and its consequences therefore the opening of Mecca. Then the events of the Islamic war activities, which obliged it to sent infantry to Najran which affiliated under Islam. Moreover, it dealt with the administrative policy rulers of the prophet and showing the position of the people in Najran against the wars of apostasy that spread in the Islamic state . Finally the chapter concluded with , its administration by the orthodox Caliphs . Chapter Two is entitled the title of economic situation, which includes four parts:- The first one is the agriculture and is the most important agricultural crops that they had and timelines of the cultration and the most important means and methods of irrigation used, then the livestock with which Najran was known for. The second part is the industry and its importance in the economy of Najran and industries that are known for; the raw materials used in industry, and then the textile industries, of which Najran people were known for. The third is one the trade and its importance in the economy of Najran, and the most important factors which have contributed to the flourishing of trade; the role of markets and the transport routes. The fourth part is the economic returns of Najran which shows the economic feasibility and the financial revenues of parts and its relevance to Muslim treasury house. Chapter Three is entitled a social situations. Moreover, the major tribes inhabiting that represent the most important figures of Najran, which have lived there were reviewed . Moreover, some of the features of these tribes and their tribal allies. Then show day of Arab from the people of Najran and their wars, impact and on themselves. Then this study dealt with the most important Arab customs, traditions and values in Najran, describe in the courage, generosity, hospitality, pride, neighborhood, councils, delegations, the traditions of their marriage and their role in the cultural life of Najran that is represented by poetry , poets, rhetoric, proverbs and the language of Arab tribes in Najran. Chapter Four is entitled intellectual situations which is specified for the research in the matters of religions and beliefs; discussed in the worships, beliefs and religions including paganism and how they were in the people of Najran and their important rituals, and idols and Judaism and how it arrived to Najran. Then it discussed the Christian religion and how it was organized and the schools adopted by the Christians of Najran and the most important Christians faiths and the position of the Holy Quran towards it. Then the chapter is concluded with the Islam and how it was the culmination of divine religions, Christianity and Judaism and the role of the Najran characters who were prominent in Islamic sciences . |
