المستخلص: Era represent distinguished patterns of Arabic poetry . It includes political , religious , economic and social variables which affect poetry widely . The social values with its negative and positive aspects represent the most widely subject of Arabic poetry . poets write most of their poetry in subjects that glorify positive social values . Writers and researchers follow poets stepts . Thus these positive values have wide range of their interest . on the contrary positive values do not have the same opportunity by poets and writers .As a result ,These subjects do not receive due attention . This represents the biggest impetus to choose the title of the thesis entitled "tyranny in Arabic poetry until the end of Beni omayya Era " . We suher a lot in writing this research because of the rareness of previous studies . In order to achieve the aims of the study , the thesis is divided ints an introduction , three chapters , and conclusion . The introduction includes studying the literal and idiomatic meaning . In addition to that , it studies the concept of tyranny in the tow periods . The chapters are divided in to two sections in each one . The former is devoted to the preislamic era whilethe latter is devoted to the Islamic era . chapter one is entitled the authority tyranny . The second chapter is entitled the economic tyranny while The third one is entitled the social tyranny . The study ends up with a conclusion That includes the finding of this research which , by itself , represents the first step in exploring this topic .
