Fazara is one of Adnani Arabic tribes who lived in the land of Najd in the Arabic peninsula. Experts of tribes relate this tribe to Fazara bin Thubian bin Bagheeh bin Raith bin Ghatafan bin Saad bin Qais bin Ailaan bin Mudhar bin Nizar bin Mad bin Adnan. The historical significance of this tribe comes from its supreme state among the Arabic tribes at that time. It had a significant contribution to Arabic history especially in the pre-Islamic history, Fazara had a number of great individuals like the badr bin Amr from Ady bin Fazara, since those elite mastered the tribes of Ghatafaan and Qais, in pre-Islamic history. One of the prominent figures was Huthaifa bin Badr Al-Fazari who was called (Rabb Maad) and Hisn bin Huthaifa who was called (A'az AL-Arab) who mastered his tribe and Asad. They made a coalition and were known as the coalition of Asad and Ghatafaan. Wars can be considered as one of the characteristic features which mark the history of Arabs, like the war of Dahis wal Ghabraa which extended to 40 years as narrated by the Arab historians. During the early Islamic era, Fazara had a negative role to the new religion (Islam) , especially , fazara lived adjacent to Tay, Asad , Abs and Thubian, But in spite of this bad role to Islam , Fazara had great contributions during the late era of the spread of Islamic ,those contributions supported the role of Fazara especially its role in the libration of Iraq and (Bilad Ashsham) and the military attacks in Egypt, Persia and the western Arab distances. Another brilliant side was the advanced standard in language and literature. Fazara had great poets equal to those from other Arab Tribes. Fazara ,like the other tribes in the Arab peninsula had great figures who kept the prestige of their tribe, they kept their position in telling trustful old news and narrating the prophetic traditions of the prophet Mohamed ( pbuh). The current study is divided into four chapters: chapter one is devoted for the name of Fazara, its ancestors and their land. Chapter two covers the topics of Fazaras social life , religious life and the wars of the tribe against other Arab tribes. Chapter three: deals with the role of Fazara and its influence in the early-Islamic era, in addition to its good and bad role to Islam as well as its role in the wars of spreading Islam. Chapter four: clarifies Fazaras scientific and cultural role through narration, transmitting prophetic tradition. The researcher mentions the famous tradition narrators from the companions of the prophet Mohammed (Pbuh) and those of the following era. This chapter deals also with the Fazarian poets and their role in the History of Arabic literature mentioning sample of their poetry. The researcher has encountered difficulties in completing this study especially in reaching certain libraries due to the hard security position in Iraq. Those hard conditions didn’t allow me to get important references which our libraries lack due to destroying an stealing the books and references by the wrongdoers after the year 2003. |
