520 |a This thesis consists of five chapters: Chapter one: This chapter contains an introduction about Schiff's base and reagent used and an introduction about drug compounds which are listed below: 1. Isoniazid. 2 . Sulphamethoxazole. 3. Sulphacetamide sodium. 4.Sulphadiazine. Chapter two: includes simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method for determination of isoniazid in aqueous solution. The method is based on the Schiff's base formation which is achieved by coupling of isoniazid with salicyldehyde at pH 2.3 to yield a yellow colour product exhibiting maximum absorbance at 360 nm . Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 6 - 30 μg/ml of isoniazid , with a molar absorptivity 3428.25 L.mol-1.cm-1 and sandell index of 0.04 μg.cm-2 . The average recovery is 99.971% , relative standard deviation 0.458-1.313% and D.L of 0.1481 μg/ml . This method has been applied successfully to determination of isoniazid in pharmaceutical preparations. . Chapter three: includes simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method for determination of sulphamethoxazole in aqueous solution. The method is based on the Schiff's base formation which is achieved by coupling of sulphamethoxazole with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde at pH 1.6 to yield a yellow colour product exhibiting maximum absorbance at 450 nm . Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-65μg/ml of sulphamethoxazole , with a molar absorptivity 5825.9 L.mol-1.cm-1 and sandell index of 0.04347 μg.cm-2 . The average recovery is 99.999% , relative standard deviation 0.516-1.616% and D.L of 0.2258 μg/ml . This method has been applied successfully to determination of sulphamethoxazole in pharmaceutical preparations.  |a Chapter four: includes simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method for determination of sulphacetamid sodium in aqueous solution. The method is based on the Schiff's base formation which is achieved by coupling of sulphacetamide sodium with p-dimethylamino benzaldehyde at pH 2.0 to yield a yellow colour product exhibiting maximum absorbance at 450 nm . Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-55μg/ml of sulphacetamide sodium , with a molar absorptivity 6355 L.mol-1.cm-1 and sandell index of 0.04 μg.cm-2 . The average recovery is 99.515% , relative standard deviation 0.3977-1.5630% and D.L of 0.1999 μg/ml . This method has been applied successfully to determination of sulphacetamide sodium in pharmaceutical preparations. Chapter five: includes simple, sensitive and rapid spectrophotometric method for determination of sulphadiazine in aqueous solution. The method is based on the Schiff's base formation which is achieved by coupling of sulphadiazine with p-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde at pH 2.4 to yield a yellow colour product exhibiting maximum absorbance at 450 nm . Beer's law is obeyed in the concentration range 5-50μg/ml of sulphadiazine , with a molar absorptivity 7759.3 L.mol-1.cm-1 and sandell index of 0.0322 μg.cm-2 .The average recovery is 100.574%, relative standard deviation 0.4178 - 2.0494% and D.L 0.2807 μg/ ml, in this method the effect of interferances was investigated.
