المستخلص: This thesis studies one of the prominent English politicians who affected the modern and contemporary history and has been considered among the greatest in history. David Lloyd George participated in creating political events in Britain. He was the main figure in English politics for the experience he had in his country's affairs. It is important to study this character since he was among those who participated in carrying out and guiding this policy when he was a member in the parliament for 5 years and when he was appointed in different posts in his country. For all these reasons and because there are no previous studies on this character in Arabic whether it was a thesis or a book, I decided to select this topic. The study includes four chapters in addition to an introduction, a bibliography and an English abstract. The first chapter studies Lloyd George's life, his family he descended from and the stages of his learning. It also deals with his profession as a lawyer and his first steps in politics. The second chapter looks into his political role and his attitudes towards issues the political field witnesses at that time. The third chapter looks into Lloyd George's attitude's towards the first world war and the formation of the coalition cabinet at a crucial time the country faced. Chapter four is devoted to deal with domestic and foreign policy as well as his attendance the Peace conference in Paris. Finally, the concluding remarks include the major findings that the researcher reached at.

The thesis depended on many references like British unpublished and published documents along with the English books that were written on Lloyd George. Besides, it depended on Arabic references including books, journals and scientific articles. The most important findings the researcher arrived at are the following: 1. Lloyd George personality was built through educating himself. He has never submitted any ideas unless being equipped with a great deal of information. 2. Lloyd George expressed deep interest in social problems that people suffered from. His interest in local issues and social information characterize his policies. 3. Lloyd George was among the backers and supporters for protecting the rights of his country in the colonies. 4. Lloyd George declared always that he was the representative of his people and he was with them. That was what kept him as a member in the parliament. 5. Lloyd George had a great role in the strategies of the first world war which created some problems with some of the military leaders. 6. Lloyd George didn't hesitate to play different roles from the far left to the far right for the British capital interests. 7. Lloyd George never hesitated to cooperate with any side for the sake of his county and that explained his simplicity in the reconciliation conference in Germany. 8. Lloyd George had usual political and historical value in the British History that helped him to achieve the victory to his county in crucial time it passed.
