520 |a  This research is a qualitative study conducted to explore Saudi Arabia’s employees’ experiences of positive discrimination towards expatriates in private sector enterprises. The aim of this research is to develop communication strategies to influence a change within the Saudi private sector, based on the findings and using organisational justice theory to analyse the differences between the effects of discrimination on Saudi Arabia employees and expatriates. Semi-structured interviews were used to collect the data, which were conducted via Skype from Australia to Saudi Arabia. The participants included 14 Saudi employees: 10 employees and 4 HR and middle level managers. I t was found that discrimination toward expatriates exists in various employment conditions such as in promotion opportunities, financial remuneration, type of work, and poor treatment from managers. Recommendations are offered to management to enhance communication and awareness in relation to this discrimination within private companies. Finally, Critical Upward Communication (CUC) is the strategy that needs to be explored by owners and executive managers. Communication strategies are derived from CUC to articulate the negative effects of discriminatory employment, remuneration and promotional policies within a corporation.
