المستخلص: This article will look at the contribution that epigraphy can make to understanding the phenomenon of Arab identity, in particular, whether the Arabs constituted a people before Islam, and if so, in what respect, questions that evoke very different responses from modem scholars. 1 It is as yet only a preliminary sketch, advancing a few tentative suggestions, in advance of a more in-depth study. The genuine Arab Architectural environment posses great constructional and planning properties and characteristics acquired through past generations and their effort to accommodate for the various needs of the life they lived in regards to their age, and in regards to the nature of those needs whether they be social .cultural or natural. The tolerant principles of Islam enhanced it further thus giving it a prominent existence expressing a genuine Arab identity in contrast with other contemporary civilizations. For this reason, this study aims at extracting measures and standards to maintain and achieve our original mode and identity. It does so through presenting the various definitions and studies that dealt with the issue of identity by stating their principles and characteristics regarding architecture and construction. The study applies these concepts on the current international trends to determine their poinls of success or failure. \
