تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى المقارنة الإحصائية بين عدد من استطلاعات الرأي حول نظام الدعم الحكومي المقدم على بعض السلع والخدمات والتي أجريت في نفس الفترة الزمنية وتشابهت معا في بعض الأسئلة وإن اختلفت في وسيلة جمع البيانات. وذلك للتعرف على ما إذا كانت وسيلة جمع البيانات -الهاتف والمقابلة الشخصية المباشرة-كان لها تأثير على إجابات المبحوثين على الأسئلة المتشابهة أم لا.
This study aims to learn about the impact of data collection mode on the re¬spondent's response. This was carried out by making a comparison between the an¬swers on similar questions about government support on certain goods in both the telephone poll and the face-to-face survey. The comparison was made over two sections. The first one is made between "poll citizens about government support on certain goods and services", which was conducted in 2008 by telephone poll and "development support system in Egypt", which Was conducted in 2008 by face-to-face interview. While the second was made between "poll citizens about the appropriate value of the cash support to supply commodities as an alternative to in-land support and methods of submission", which was conducted in 2006 by telephone poll and "poll the general public on the issue of government support", which was conducted in 2006 by face to face inter¬views. The results showed that in majority of cases, the perception of respondents, who participated in the survey on government support, was lower than that of those, who participated in the telephone poll.
