تسعى الدراسة إلى إلقاء الضوء على خدمات الترجمة الآلية المجانبة على الخط المباشر الداعمة للغة العربية على شبكة الوب وذلك من خلال تحليل ووصف كافة الجوانب المتصلة بها من حيث: الجهات والشركات المسئولة عن تقديمها، أعداد اللغات التي تدعمها، متطلبات التسجيل بها، طبيعة المواد التي تقوم بترجمتها، المقومات والعناصر التي تشمل عليها، الإمكانات والمميزات التي توفرها لمستفيديها عند إجرائهم لعمليات الترجمة المختلفة، الصلاحيات التي توفرها لمستخدميها فيما يتصل بالنصوص الناتجة عن عملية الترجمة، القيود التي تفرضها على أعداد الكلمات للنصوص المترجمة من خلالها، وقد اتبعت الدراسة المنهج المسحي الميداني لتحقيق أهدافها، وتمثلت أدوات الدراسة في: قائمة المراجعة والملاحظة المباشرة، تشكل مجتمع الدراسة عن ثمان عشرة خدمة ترجمة آلية مجانية على الخط المباشر على شبكة الوب بلغ نصيب الخدمات العربية منها خدمة واحدة، خلصت الدراسة إلى مجموعة من الناتج كان من أبرزها تميز خدمات الترجمة الآلية بمجموعة من المميزات والإمكانات ميزتها من غيرها من الخدمات المقدمة على شبكة الوب تمثلت في: توفير ترجمة لأنواع مختلفة من المواد مثل: ترجمة النصوص، ترجمة صفحات ومواقع الوب، ترجمة الملفات والمستندات، ترجمة المحادثات، ترجمة رسائل البريد الإلكتروني؛ توفير ترجمات صوتية للمقاطع والكلمات المجهولة، توفير التدقيق الإملائي والنحوي للأخطاء الواردة في النصوص؛ توفير لوحات مفاتيح افتراضية؛ أمكانية إرسال نتائج الترجمة الناتجة عنها عبر البريد الإلكتروني؛ عقد مقارنة فيما بين خدمات الترجمة وغيرها من خدمات الترجمة الأخرى المتاحة على شبكة الوب
The study sheds light on the free on-line translation services that supports Arabic language on the Web. This is done through the analysis and description of all its related aspects such as: organizations and companies responsible of providing the services, the number of languages supported by the services, the registration requirements, the nature of the materials that are translated, their ingredients and elements, the potential advantages offered to the beneficiaries when they activate a different translation processes, the options it provides to Its users in Nation to the texts resulting from the translation process, the limitations and restrictions on the number of translated words using the services. The study used the field survey methodology to achieve its goals and depended on checklist and observation as its study tools. Th. study was carried out over a study sample that consisted of eighteen free on- line translation services, only one of them was Arabic. The study comes up with a set of important conclusions. One of «s important results is that the free on-line translation services have their superior advantages over other services provided on the Web. This superior advantages comes from their wide useful features and options such as: providing translation of different types of materials such as: text translation. Webpages and Websites translation, files and documents translation, chats translation. E-mail messages translation; providing sounds and pronunciation of unknown words ; providing audit spelling and grammar errors contained in the texts; providing virtual keyboards; possibility of sending the resulting translation results via E-mail and making comparison among translation services and other translation services available on Web.
