|b Westernization is a new phenomenon that started during the beginnings of the European colonization era. Westernization is represented in two things: first, following the west (Europe and the USA), and second creating a gap between the individual and his/her reality so that his/her self is defeated by loving what the western owns till s/he gets weakened in his/her sense of belonging to his religion, homeland and culture. The French authorities implemented a policy of westernization on the different African social classes on three levels: westernization (group, elite and constitutional). Also, the westernization movements succeeded in invading the African social fabric through affecting the most important element in society, that is, (the woman); they adopted the slogan (the issue of women liberation), and (liberation!) that the advocates of westernizing the African woman refer to is liberating her in her femininity in order to become a pretty décor in ceremonies and a cheap product for enjoyment, and a girl for advertising, and a hero in pornographic movies and so on… Among the important means of westernizing the African Muslim woman: the variety of Western movies and soap-operas, and films with local Western style, newspapers, magazines, websites that tackle women issues from a western perspective, and which call for simulating the western woman, influencing women towards revolt against society and its values, and finally the international and local women conferences led by the West in the name of women liberation
