|b In Burkina Faso it is hard to separate between religion and social relations, as the beliefs transcends the individuals, and goes beyond to meet a special pattern of society, and here comes the Animism firstly as the traditional religion in Burkina Faso, followed by Islam and Christianity, as it Is a multi faith country. The study reveals some of the social religious interaction in Burkina Faso, in a contrast between Animism and Islam, as the study shows the creeds of Animism and its characterizations; the relation between it and Islam on the level of creeds; the social relation between Animists and Muslims, and how the people there mixed between Islam and some of their old traditions and habits in some social traditions like engagement, marriage, polygamy, naming new infants and in circumcision. The study presents also the Islamic viewpoint about Animism, and how the encounter between Islam and the spiritual values of Animism was a historical encounter that took a long time, and needed a wisdom and patience to enhance it
