(fattash's History in the news of countries and armies) is considered one of the most important resources about the history of Western Sudan "Western Africa". There are contradictions about who wrote it, as there are three related people, each of them is called "Mahmoud Ka'at", each of them was a scholar from the Islamic Sonay Empire and they were respectively: Mahmoud Ka'at the first, Mahmoud Kaa't the second and Mahmoud Ka'at the third. Evidence referrers that Mahmoud Ka'at the Third was the writer of Fattash's History, he was Mahmoud Ka'at Bin Al- Mokhtar Al-Konboly and he was the grandchild of Mahmoud Ka'at the Second. Among the evidence that he was the genuine writer of the book that many researchers like J.Hunwick said that the writer of Fattash's History was Bin Al-Mokhtar and among the evidences is that he cited his three uncles and they were the sons of Mahmoud Ka'at the Second. The resources of Fattash's History were varied, some of them was cited to his Father (Al-Mokhtar Al-Konboly) and about First and Second Mahmoud Ka'at and what he cited to others and from what he recorded from events in his era. There is no strong evidence that the name «katy» was distorted into Ka'at as the researcher Ismail Gagy said, because three generations of scholars used the same word, and didn't cite that alleged distortion
