It seems obvious that the violent and bloody chaos has reignited in few Arab countries represents a real threat for the security of Gulf as much as for the Arab national security. Some observers have already warned of the dangers that might result from the support of some Gulf States to certain political actors of the region to resist the Arab Spring. However, primary assessments highlight the importance of Gulf States, with the inauguration of King Salman ibn Abdel-Aziz, in taking an active part to get stability back to the region and to stop the bloodshed and the exhausting of economy and region’s assets. The diplomatic steps taken by the new Saudi King raise the expectation of adopting new policies by the Saudi Arabia to lead a comprehensive reconciliation in the region that includes political Islam movements, to lead a political and security operation to curtail the increasing influence of Iran in the region and to establish a comprehensive Arabic- Islamic vision to combat the growing of extremist violent groups in Syrian and Iraq.
