The aim of this study is to highlight the evolution of the Algerian gas exports and their impact within the Organization of the petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) during the period from 1970 to 2012. The importance of the OPEC in the global energy market can be seen in its ability to cover the global energy demand that is composed of 62.5% of oil and 23.6% of natural gas according to the 2012 OPEC statistics. Being the first exporter of LNG (Liquefied natural gas) in 1964 following the discovery of its largest gas field located in 'Hassi R'Mel ', and since the establishment of the national company ‘Sonatrach’ in 1963; Algeria is working to strengthen the position of its gas industry in the gas market via OPEC on both national and international level, and this can explain why this issue has been the focal point of our study. Notre étude a pour objectif de soulever la question sur l'évolution des exportations gazières de l'Algérie et leurs impacts au sein de l'organisation des pays exportateurs de pétrole (OPEC) durant la période allant de 1970 à 2012. L'importance de L'OPEC au sein du marché mondial de l'énergie consiste dans sa capacité à couvrir la demande énergétique mondiale dont 62.5% en pétrole et 23.6% en gaz naturel suivant les statistiques de l'OPEC de l'année 2012.L'Algérie étant le premier pays exportateur au monde du gaz GNL en l'an 1964 suite à la découverte de son plus grand gisement en gaz "Hassi R'Mel", et depuis la création de la compagnie nationale Sonatrach en 1963, elle n'a pas cessé de renforcer la position de son industrie gazière à l'échelle nationale et internationale sur le marché gazier via l'OPEC, ce pourquoi notre étude témoigne de l'intérêt de cette problématique. |
