هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى معرفة مدى قابلية استخدام خط الثلث في التشكيل الفني، ومساهمته كفن مستقل يعبر عن أصالة امته و مجتمعه في الإثراء الجمالي و الفني. كما هدفت إلى التعرف على خط الثلث، نشأته و تطوره وما حققه الخطاط المسلم من تطور وتجويد لهذا الخط و معرفة بعض الأساليب المستخلصة من التجارب الفنية للتشكيل بحرف الثلث وما يرتبط بها في مجال الإبداع. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى أن مرونة وطواعية خط الثلث وقابليته للتشكيل الفني، أغنت الخطاطين عن الاتجاه نحو المدارس التشكيلية الغربية، فكان بذلك مساهما بفن مستقل و منتمي لبيئته و مجتمعه. كما توصلت إلى أن اللوحة الخطية الفنية بخط الثلث قد لعبت دوراً هاماً في تعزيز الإحساس بالقيمة الفنية والجمالية للخط، فضلا عن قيمته الوظيفية، وذلك من خلال تعدد أنماطها و أساليبها
This study aims at exploring the possibility of using Thuluth calligraphy handwriting as an artistic mean and its contribution in Arabic calligraphy as an independent Art branch expressing the values of the nation and the society and enriching its esthetical elements. It also aims at introducing Thuluth Calligraphy handwriting, its origin, development and achievements of the Muslim Calligrapher regarding development and mastering of this art. It examines further some styles driven from artistic experiences regarding designing using Thuluth Calligraphy handwriting. The study concluded that the flexibility in using Thuluth Calligraphy handwriting and its suitability for designing allowed the calligraphers to make the best out of it, instead of following the western artistic schools. Hence it contributed in creating an independent art integrated to its society and environment. It further concluded that Thuluth Calligraphy handwriting work of art (cablegrams), due its diverse styles and methods, contributed Calligraphy as a fine art apart from its functional role.in intensifying appreciation of artistic and esthetical values of Arabic Calligraphy as a fine art apart from its functional role
