المستخلص: هدف البحث الى الكشف عن حد سفر القصر. واستخدم البحث المنهج الوصفي التحليلي. لتوضيح المسافة التي تستباح بها رخص السفر وحددت بمسافة أربعة برد وهو قول عامة السلف. وأوضح البحث تقدير مسافة الميل بالكيلومتر والدليل على هذا التقدير من أقوال السنة النبوية، والصحابة، والتابعين، والأئمة، وأهل العلم. وتوصلت النتائج الى القول بأن مسافة القصر محددة بمسافة أربعة برد هو قول عامة السلف وحكاه بعض أئمة السلف إجماعا. وأن هذا القول تعضده أدلة قوية. وأن مسافة أربعة برد تساوي بالكيلو مترات المعاصرة ما يقرب من 80 كم. كما أن الأقوال الأخرى في هذه المسألة تعد أقوالا ضعيفة لأن أدلة هذا القول بالرغم من قوتها إلا أنها ترفض لأنها أقوال حدثت بعد عصر الصحابة وكبار التابعين.

The objective of the research is to uncover the judgment of shortening prayers during journeys. The research used the descriptive analytical method to clarify the distance in which travel permits are valid and was limited to four Borod (برد), according to the view of most of the salaf. The research also indicated the estimation of the distance of miles per kilometer and the evidence for this estimate from the sayings of the Sunnah of the Prophet, Companions, followers, Imams, and scholars. The results reached the conclusion that the distance of the on-journey shortening prayer is limited to a distance of four Borod, as stated by the general sayings of the Salaf and some of the imams of the Salaf; that this statement is fortified by strong evidence; and that the distance of four Borod is equivalent to the contemporary kilometers of approximately 80 km. furthermore, the other opinions regarding this matter are weak statements because the evidences of these opinions, despite their validity, they are declined because they are spoken after the era of the Companions and elder followers.
