حث الإسلام على حماية حقوق الإنسان والحفاظ عليها، وسن تشريعات تكفل هذا الحق وتحافظ عليه، ويأتي هذا البحث لتسليط الضوء على سبق الإسلام لكافة القوانين والتنظيمات لتقرير حقوق الإنسان وحمايتها. واشتمل البحث على تمهيد وخمس مباحث رئيسة وخاتمة؛ وقد تناول التمهيد مفهوم الحقوق قديما وحديثاً، مع بيان أهمية سيادة مبدأ الحقوق في المجتمعات، وبيان نشأة المناداة بحقوق الإنسان في عصرنا وحقوقه في الفكر الغربي، ومدى تطور القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان في ظل نشأة الأمم المتحدة، وبيان الفرق بين مفهومي حقوق الإنسان في الإسلام والتصور الغربي، ثم الحديث عن ركائز حقوق الإنسان في الإسلام ومصادرها وخصائصها، ثم توضيح جملة من صور رعاية الإسلام لحقوق الإنسان وشواهده من الوحيين، وأبرز قضايا حقوق الإنسان المعاصرة وما يثار حولها من افتراءات وتفنيدها والرد عليها، ثم خُتم البحث بالحديث عن أهم العوامل المساعدة في تفعيل الحقوق في المجتمعات الإسلامية المعاصرة والدعوة إليها، وقد خرج البحث –بفضل الله - بعدد من النتائج والتوصيات.
