يدور هذا البحث حول قضية عقائدية هامة، ألا وهي نزول "عيسى" عليه السلام آخر الزمان، ففي حين أن القرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية، أثبتا هذه العقيدة وجدنا وما زلنا من يتنكر لها، ويكذب بها؛ بحجج واهية وشبه ساقطة، حيث ادعوا : أنه ليس في القرآن نص صريح في رفعه إلى السماء بروحه وجسده، كما وليس فيه نص صريح أيضا على نزوله وإنما تلك عقيدة النصارى. ومن أجل بيان الحقيقة؛ جاء هذا البحث؛ ليحسم الخلاف القائم، قديما وحديثا حول نزول "عيسى" عليه السلام، باعتبار أن نزوله حق يجب الإيمان به، لأنه أحد أشراط الساعة الكبرى، كما قال سبحانه: {وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلْمٌ لِلسَّاعَةِ فَلَا تَمْتَرُنَّ بِهَا}(الزخرف :61) أي: نزول عيسـى ، فنزوله عليه السلام حق يجب الإيمان به. كما هدف هذا البحث إلى الرد على الشبهات الساقطة، والدعاوي الباطلة التي تذرع بها من أنكروا هذه العقيدة، مع بين تهافتها، وعدم صمودها أمام النقد العلمي، حيث أثبت أن نبي الله "عيسى" - عليه السلام - رفع من الأرض إلى السماء بروحه وجسده؛ عندما أراد اليهود قتله فصلبه، فلم يمكنهم الله منه، وأثبت كذلك أنه سينزل إلى الأرض مرة أخرى في آخر الزمان؛ علامة على قرب قيام الساعة. \
