المستخلص: So much has already been written about king Mentuhotep II that it seems somewhat superfluous to write more about him. It could be added that most of the records of his reign not analysis till now especially through new historical context. After the achievement of the union between the two lands of Upper and Lower Egypt for the second time, Mentuhotep II became a national hero for his efforts in the revolution against the separation and the chaos in Egypt. Here, the author ferrets out the reasons that made the Ancient Egyptians had seen Mentuhotep II not only as a traditional king but also as a leader of this national revolt. This point is considered the net conclusion of the present article. In sum, the author discusses the data in the context of social and political organization whether before or during the reign of Mentuhotep II.
