تستهدف هذه الدراسة التعرف على طبيعة العلاقة بين الابتزاز الانفعالي للزوجة من قبل الزوج وبعض متغيرات شخصية الزوجة، اشتملت العينة على 102 زوجة (امرأة متزوجة)، تتراوح أعمارهن ما بين (21 سنة حتى 62 سنة)، بمتوسط عمري وقدره 38.75سنة، وانحراف معياري 11.28، استخدمت الباحثة مقياس الابتزاز الانفعالي للزوجة من قبل الزوج، واختبار ايزنك للشخصية 2 مقياس التوافق – عدم الاتزان الانفعالي)، وأسفرت النتائج عن وجود علاقة ارتباطية سالبة دالة إحصائياً بين الابتزاز الانفعالي للزوجة من قبل الزوج (المكونات- الوسائل- النتائج) ومتغيرات الشخصية الإيجابية (تقدير الذات – السعادة – الاستقلالية)، بينما وجدت علاقة ارتباطية موجبة دالة إحصائياً بين الابتزاز الانفعالي من الزوجات في متغيرات الشخصية الإيجابية (تقدير الذات – السعادة – الاستقلالية) لصالح منخفضات الابتزاز الانفعالي من الزوجات، بينما توجد فروق دالة إحصائياً بين متوسط درجات منخفضات الابتزاز الانفعالي من الزوجات ومرتفعات الابتزاز الانفعالي من الزوجات في متغيرات الشخصية السلبية (القلق –الوسواسية – توهم المرض – الشعور بالذنب) لصالح مرتفعات الابتزاز الانفعالي من الزوجات.
This study aims at identifying the relationship between emotional blackmail by the husband toward his wife and some Personality Variables. The sample consists of 102 wife (married woman), aged between 21 to 62 years, (mean 38.75 years, standard deviation 11.28). It has used two Questionnaires (emotional blackmail by the husband toward his wife and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) 2 (scale adjustment - emotional stability). The results of the study revealed that there is a negative statistically significant relationship between emotional blackmail by the husband toward his wife (components - means - results) and positive Personality Variables (self - esteem - happiness - independence), While there is a positive statistically significant relationship between emotional blackmail by the husband toward his wife (components - the means - results) and negative Personality Variables (anxiety - Obsessiveness - Hypochondriasis - guilt). It also revealed that there are statistically significant differences between the wives whom have low degrees of emotional blackmail and who have high ones for the positive Personality Variables (self-esteem - happiness - independence) for the wives whom have low degrees of emotional blackmail,, while there are statistically significant differences between the wives whom have low degrees of emotional blackmail and who have high ones for the negative Personality Variables (anxiety - Obsessiveness - Hypochondriasis - guilt) for the wives whom have high degrees of emotional blackmail.
