تهدف الدراسة إلى التعرف على أهم المعالجات الإخراجية للصور الصحفية المقدمة بالمجلات المصرية. واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي بشقة التحليلي حيث استخدم الباحث أداة تحليل المضمون لجمع البيانات من المجلات عينة الدراسة وهي (مجلة روزاليوسف ونصف الدنيا) حيث تمثل الأولى المجلات العامة والأخرى المجلات المتخصصة بواقع 26 عدداً لكل مجلة بواقع (52) عدداً في الفترة من 1/7/2009 حتى 31/12/2009 حيث تم تقسيم العينة بالتساوي. 1. استخدام أساليب متنوعة لإخراج صفحة الغلاف في المجلات عينة الدراسة منها أسلوب الملصق والتداخل الجزئي والكلي واستخدام الأرضية الموحدة والغلاف المبني على الرسم،كما أن الصور الطاغية على الهوامش تعتبر من أكثر المعالجات الإخراجية للصور المستخدمة بأغلفة المجلات عينة الدراسة. 2. تنوع مصادر المجلات في الحصول على الصورة مابين مصدر داخلي وخارجي. 3. توجد تقسيمات عديدة للصور الصحفية التي تنشر في المجلات منها ماهو متعلق بالشكل الفني ومنها مايتعلق بالمضمون وأخرى تتعلق بعلاقتها بالمادة المجاورة لها ومنها مايرتبط بالخصائص الطباعية للصورة ومنها ما يتعلق بالهدف من نشر الصورة. 4. احتلت الصورة الصحفية أماكن بارزة على صفحات المجلات موضع الدراسة وخاصة صفحة الغلاف. 5. اتخذت الصور الصحفية أشكالا متنوعة على صفحات المجلات فكانت هناك صور تقليدية وأخرى غير مألوفة،كما غلب الشكل الهندسي التقليدي على الصور في مجلات الدراسة كما يكثر استخدام الصور ذات الأشكال غير المنتظمة خاصة الصور ذات الخلفية المفرغة- الديكوبية- باعتبارها من الأشكال التي تجذب القراء،بينما وجد إهمال للأشكال الأخرى كالبيضاوي والدائري ...وغيرها. 6. من المعالجات الإخراجية للصور في مجلات الدراسة قلة مساحة الصور المستخدمة في المجلات وهو ما يتناقض مع الاتجاهات الوظيفية الحديثة في الإخراج. 7. من الممارسات الإخراجية المعاصرة للصور استخدام إطارات بشكل كبير حول الصور. 8. ندرة استخدام الصور الخطية والتركيز على بعض أنواع الرسوم الساخرة وإغفال الأنواع الأخرى \
