This research concerned in study the effect of using enzymatic bleach clean up on the dyeing properties of cellulosic fabrics with reactive dyes. The results obtained showed that, dyeing properties of cellulosic fabrics with reactive dyes were improved when the fabric samples treated with terminox® ultra enzymes after bleaching with hydrogen peroxide prior to the dyeing for removal the hydrogen peroxide from the fabrics compared to traditional process with varying number of washing steps with and without commercial reducing agents, the terminox® ultra enzymes is breaking down the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, in addition of reducing energy, time and water consumption, because the dyeing was carried out in the same enzymes treatment bath. The proper conditions for enzymes treatments was investigated,. The results also clear that, (enzyme dosage 0.7 g/1, pH 8, and temperature 45 °C for 40 minutes) is. the proper conditions for enzymes treatments. It's also cleared that, terminox® ultra 10 L gave better results than terminox® ultra 50 L. |
