This is because the primary drivers for high buildings in Kuwait are strategic, including market demand, global economic positioning, and urban intensification. \ In contrast, arguments against high buildings are largely concerned with their local impacts, which can be addressed through many issues. The market price is compounded by the state's population dispersal. While Kuwait is a small country and only a small percentage is actually inhabited, with the majority of the population concentrated around the coast and capital. Most of the country's remaining land is owned by Kuwait Oil Company (KOC). Real estate and construction in Kuwait conjure up tales of two sectors experiencing different fortunes. While the real estate sector struggles to keep up with demand with property sales more than doubling in value over the past few months, the construction sector has stalled with high-profile megaprojects facing delays because of political disagreements, bureaucracy and soaring land prices. Also this is noticeable that the environmental agencies are not doing feasibility study before consulting a high-rise building. \ This paper examines the role of high rise buildings in Kuwait, in terms of their advantages and disadvantages, the risks they pose to a range of stakeholders, and their potential future in a city that will need to become increasingly concerned with achieving an environment that is sustainable in the long term. \
