The effect of repeated washing processes with one detergent using lukewarm water, and hot water on the dimensional stability and shrinkage of handmade crochet table cloth were investigated. The main aim of this work was to systematically investigate the effect of the principal lukewarm washing, hot one and drying variables on the dimensional stability and shrinkage of handmade crochet tablecloth with different lengths and widths. The work demonstrated that changes occurring after washing were largely due to alterations in the water temperature and agitation during tumble, followed by the spin cycle during washing, which caused dimensional changes and shrinkage. |
