this research paper proposes is segmenting brain tumors that appear in MRI brain slices. We were looking for a technique for making segmentation for brain parts, those parts could be later on by classifiers for identifying regions of interest in brain MRI. We used that PCNN and segmentation methods proposed to identify exactly the abnormal volume of the brain. First the brain slice image passes through Pulse Coupled Neural Networks (PCNN) and segmentation algorithms are used to generate image set of brain parts. We’ve passed through several trials to find the best algorithm that could be used in such case and give the best results and all those trials will be mentioned and discussed throughout this paper. |
