1- أغلبية المهاجرين الحاليين أو العائدين من الذكور الذين هاجروا لأسباب اقتصادية مقابل الأسباب الاجتماعية لهجرة النساء. 2- معظم المهاجرين الحاليين من متوسطي العمر (25-44) وفي نفس الوقت هذا العمر يمثل ثلثي المهاجرين العائدين. 3- غالبية المهاجرين الحاليين والعائدين من المتزوجين أما بخصوص الغير مهاجرين فنسبة الأرامل عالية نسبيا بالمقارنة بالمهاجرين الحاليين والعائدين. 4- حوالي ثلثي المهاجرين الحاليين والعائدين وثلث الغير مهاجرين المستوي التعليمي لهم هو الثانوي وفوق الثانوي. 5- غالبية المهاجرين الحاليين والعائدين يتجهون إلى تكوين أسر صغيرة الحجم (تقل عن ثلاث أطفال) وأكثر من الثلث يكونون أسر من 3-4 أطفال بينما حوالي ربع المهاجرين العائدين وأكثر من الثلث للغير مهاجرين يكونون أسر لا تقل عن خمسة أطفال. 6- أوضحت الدراسة أن أعلي نسبة بين المهاجرين الحاليين يمتلكون أعلي مستوي دخل وفي المقابل على الأقل نصف المهاجرين العائدين والغير مهاجرين يمتلكون أقل مستوي دخل.
1- The majority of current and return migrants are males who migrated because of economic reasons. On the other hand, the main reasons for female migration are social reasons. 2- Most of current migrants are of the middle age (25-44). At the same time, about two thirds of return migrants are in the same age group. 3- Regarding the marital status, the majority of return and current emigrants are married. The proportion of widowed among nonmigrants is higher relative to current and return emigrants. 4- With regard to the educational level, it was found that about two thirds of current and return emigrants have secondary education or above, while about one third of non-migrants have secondary education or above. 5- Regarding to number of children, the majority of current and return emigrants tend to have a small family size (less than three children), and more than one-third have the family size (3-4 children), while about one fourth of return migrants have at least five children compared to more than one third of non-migrants. 6- With respect to income level, the study shows that the highest percentage of current migrants have the highest income level. On the other hand, at least half of return and non-migrants have the lowest income category.
