يعد موضوع عبارات التباهي والتفاخر عند بعض حكام وملوك بلاد الرافدين، من الموضوعات المهمة في دراسة وتحليل جوانب مهمة من تاريخ بلاد الرافدين العسكرية والقانونية والاقتصادية، فهو يهدف إلي إبرازها من خلال النصوص وعلى لسان معظم حكام وملوك بلاد الرافدين، فعبارات التباهي والتفاخر العسكرية تمثل القوة والشجاعة اللتين يتصف بهما بعض حكام وملوك بلاد الرافدين، فلم تكن في أغلب الأحيان إلا لأغراض دعائية من أجل التباهي والتفاخر بالقوة والشدة وإثارة روح الفزع والرهبة في نفوس الأعداء والأقوام الأخرى المجاورة، هذا ويتوضح لنا في البحث، أن إصدار القوانين واحد من المظاهر المهمة التي تباهى وتفاخر بها الحكام والملوك في مقدمة وخاتمة قوانينهم المدونة، من خلال تطبيقهم العدالة وإنصاف المظلومين، فلا تكاد تخلو كتابات حكام وملوك بلاد الرافدين من الإشارة إلي نشر العدل بين الناس وحماية الضعفاء ومنع اضطهاد الأقوياء لهم، ويؤكد حكام وملوك بلاد الرافدين عند تفاخرهم وتباهيهم بنشر العدل في البلاد من خلال قوانينهم التي يصدرونها، أن الإلهة هي التي أمرتهم بإحقاق العدل بين الناس، كذلك يتبين لدينا ومن خلال النصوص كثرة عبارات التباهي والتفاخر الخاصة بالجانب الاقتصادي، إذ كان الجانب الاقتصادي والمتمثل بإقامة مشاريع الري في بلاد الرافدين قد شغل حيزاً مهماً من اهتماماتهم ودعمهم المتواصل لتلك المشاريع كما تشير إلي ذلك العديد من النصوص والتي تحوي على عبارات التباهي والتفاخر الخاصة بالجانب الاقتصادي.
Boast and pride for some rulers and kings of Mesopotamia is an important topic in studying and analyzing important aspects of military , law and economical history in ancient Iraq . It aims at pointing out the phrases of boast and pride throughout texts and recitations from most of rulers and kings of ancient Iraq . So, the military phrases of boast and pride are observed represented by power and courage that most of rulers and kings were characterized with . So, they mostly were not but for purposes of publicity for the sake of boast and pride by power, intensity , stirring up the spirit of fear and dread in the hearts of enemies and the other neighbor nations . It is also clear throughout this research that issuing laws was one of the important aspects in which the rulers and kings used to boast and show off in the introduction and conclusion of their recorded laws via their application for justice and justice to the oppressed . The writings of rulers and kings of Mesopotamia were hardly devoid from indications to spreading justice among people ,protecting the weak and preventing the strong people’s oppression to them. Throughout the texts, we observe that many phrases of boast and pride related to the economical aspect and represented by establishing irrigation projects in Mesopotamia occupied an important position in the interests of the rulers and kings and their continuous support to these projects which were indicated by many texts that contain phrases of boast and pride related to the economic aspect.
