|b The psychological exhaustion seems evident with those who work in profession that require facing the audience and dealing with them . These professions cause certain pressures which . ultimately, lead to this exhaustion . ( Abuzaid ,2002 : p. 252 ). The psychological exhaustion leads to an important problem that has effects on the teacher and the learner together . This problem is not restricted to the teacher , but it extends to include the learner who feels with reduction of his self-value owing to the teachers unmindful behavior and his low academic performance ( Hui-jen , 2004. p.280 ) The importance of the study is best referred to in its contribution to ; a-Show the level of the psychological exhaustion for teachers from a theoretical point of view . b-Put forward certain suggestion and recommendations in order to lessen the effect resulting from the psychological exhaustion of teachers The problem of the research lies in knowing the level of the psychological exhaustion of teachers and in questioning whether gender variable and years of experience have an effect on this level . The sample of the study included (240) male and female teachers from the state schools in Basrah Governorate for the academic year , 2012-2013 A.D . The study employed the scale of the psychological exhaustion , prepared by ( Chrisstina . M.Susan , J 1976 ) and arabisized by Farouq Othman Al-sayid . 1988 . after making the psychometric parameters by the researcher .
