المستخلص: The present study is a cognitive-stylistic analysis of a modem feminist play, namely Real Estate (1985), by the English dramatist Louise Page. The play represents the conflict of a modem woman between complying with the socially- prescribed role for women as a mother and housewife and pursuing a professional career. The leading female character in the play experiences the dilemma of being tom between satisfying the social and filial demands and moving along in the path of self-achievement. The stylistic approach adopted is a cognitive approach, which incorporates a linguistic analysis in the light of conversational analysis theory, coupled with cognitive grammar. The method of analysis adopted incorporates analyzing the female protagonist's conversational behavior and monitoring her development, guided by selected cognitive-stylistic approaches.
